Hilarious, cringe-worthy, and tear-jerking, Influencers gives a deep perspective into the lives of these young social media stars and our cultural desire for social influence.

Summary

Four American and British social media influencers are given the choice between what they originally saw as a trip to a party, and the option to sleep on the floor, clean toilets, fetch clean drinking water, and and serve the children in a local orphanage.

Will they choose the resort, or go on a much more meaningful adventure to serve these impoverished people who are somehow incredibly joyful. Will this journey find their  flurry of “friends and followers” and efforts of self-promotion to have actually left them lonely and in search of more as they are forced to reach beneath the facades of their social profiles and wounds of their past.

Hilarious, cringe-worthy, and tear-jerking, The Unselfie Experiment gives perspective into these young lives and their deep desire to be truly known, while begging the question, Is social media creating a self-consumed generation...or can it truly be used as a tool to create greater influence in the world?
